edited) my focusrite usb interface seems to have a decent amount of hiss, so it overtakes the amp hiss at a volume of 31 (of 70), but this is still plenty. Despite having 5-way binding posts, the more crowded arrangement of the speaker terminals will make using bare wires very difficult. Because the BT antenna is mounted at a right angle and cannot be swung out, it's imperative that you mount the antenna first, before plugging in any other connections. I wasn't super impressed wit it, but it worked, and had a decent grip on lower frequencies for my speakers.

From reading through all this, it sounds like a better DAC like the Topping E30 into the analog inputs of the Loxjie A30 will result in better sound quality than USB and also eliminate the lower volume level issue experienced when using the USB. I'm thinking about pairing the D30 with something like the project amp box s2 (open to suggestions though).

Being stripped down also continues when it comes to the design on the L30 since it doesn’t have any screen or any menu system.

Having a standard IEC power cord also makes it more convenient for use with some audiophile-grade power cables. However, I noticed that there was a hiss on the LHS for a split second, and during that hiss, I could hear music as I play via USB.The vocal range on the other hand has a generally accurate presentation with a measured amount of sweetness to make vocals more compelling. You have to understand there is some kind of bottleneck anyway: The D30 performs waaay ahead relative to the A30 Amplifier abilities. At that point I want to move this amp to the home office and drive a pair of old bookshelf speakers.
