About this deal

Ranging from 0 to 5, this scale measures the amount of protection the formula offers against UVA radiation. Our creams are so moisturising that many people find they don’t even need to apply any after-sun cream. However, if you do feel that your skin is dry, then keeping your skin moisturised will make you tan better and make your tan last longer. And though the days of greasy, oily SPF are very much a thing of the past, finding the right formula–at the right price–is never an easy feat.

Carrot Sun products do not contain any SPF (sun protection factor), but can be used in conjunction with SPF containing lotions without interfering with their effectiveness. It is recommended that an SPF-containing cream be applied to the skin prior to the application of Carrot Sun products, or that you have a base tan prior to their use. Exfoliate in the shower before you go tanning to get rid of dead skin cells. If you have skin sensitivities, nut allergies, or are gluten intolerant, please consult your dermatologist prior to use. Our products can be used in the sun or on the sunbed. Our products can be used in the sun or on sunbeds, it can be applied over SPF lotion. Contains almond & wheat germ oil. If you have skin sensitivities, nut allergies, or are gluten intolerant, please consult your dermatologist prior to use. The Carrot cream and oil both contain carrot oil, which is a naturally active tan accelerator. This also stimulates your skin to tan better and faster in the sun/ on a sunbed. No. These creams do have a type of bronzer called Henna, but it's not at all a fake tan/ self-tanner and will not get you streaky and won't tan you without the sun or a sunbed. Basically, the henna will enhance your tan and make it last longer, but it doesn't work unless you go in the sun or on a sunbed. No matter how you apply it, you should get an even tan.Carrot Sun products contain almond oil, which is rich in a natural tan-accelerating agent called L-Tyrosine. This amino acid promotes and stimulates the production of melanin in the skin upon exposure to UV rays or the sun. Melanin is the pigment responsible for the tanned colour of skin and also protects skin from UV rays. L-Tyrosine in our tanning formulas means that less time is needed in the sun to achieve your desired colour. Carrot oil is a natural tan accelerator, and is present in our Carrot & Tropical Fruit products. It is also rich in beta carotene which, in the correct amounts, shows as a slightly bronze coloured tint on skin. Beta carotene is another contributor to Carrot Sun’s signature golden glow. Carrot oil is also rich in vitamins A, E, & C and antioxidants, all of which significantly reduce the signs of aging and combat free radicals. Normally when people tan they go brown, but the henna adds a hue of golden to your color, making it a really beautiful shade. The henna also prolongs the life of your tan so that it fades more slowly and more evenly after you stop going in the sun/ on sunbeds. So you will find that your tan will last for weeks longer than you are used to! Actually there isn't a huge difference between the creams and the oils, the main differences are the application (do you prefer putting a cream or an oil on?) and also the creams are more moisturising because they have an extra moisturising agent in them.

With temperatures hitting the high 20s and a heatwave due in July, chances are you'll be needing to re up on the sun cream this summer. Exotic Oils: Sunflower Seed Oil, Soybean Oil and Olive Fruit Oil deeply hydrate and nourish your skin.
