About this deal

The last surviving dgħajsa tal-latini – the traditional Gozitan boat that used to ply the ferry route from Malta to Gozo is exhibited at Mġarr Harbour, Gozo’s main harbour. Use the hop-on-hop-off bus for a guided tour with stops at the most popular sightseeing locations with iSeeMalta’s Gozo Pass. The bus stops right outside the Gozo ferry passenger terminal.

And if you need to go up to Ċirkewwa to catch the Gozo ferry, you need to hop on bus number 41 or 42. To arrive in Gozo, you have to take the ferry from Cirkewwa on the Island of Malta to the seaport of Mgarr on the Island of Gozo. You can then hop on the local buses (and taxis) to get around the island. Buses run less frequently than on Malta, but it's easier than renting a car. Gozo bus drivers know how to navigate the island's hairpin turns and narrow one-lane roads. If you have only one day, spend the morning in the Citadella of Rabat, have lunch there, then spend the afternoon either at Ramla il-Hamra or the Inland Sea. Take a DIY tour with your rental car. For some inspiration, have a look at this article: Things to do in Gozo: 25+ Ideas for your Itinerary. Technically, you could do a DIY tour by public transport bus as well, but the service isn’t very efficient so you’d waste a lot of time just getting to places. The small island Nation of Malta is an archipelago located in the southern-central region of the Mediterranean Sea, in Southern Europe. Places of interest in Mellieħa

Paradise Bay | Golden Bay | Ghajn Tuffieha (Riviera Martinique) | Mellieha Bay | St. George’s Bay | St. Peter’s Pool The main resort town, Marsalforn, is surprisingly lively. In the high season, the harbor area bustles with activity: vacationers taking strolls along the promenade and dining at the waterfront restaurants, and sunbathers headed to the small centrally located beach. The waterfront is also a hub of restaurants and cafés, most of which have pleasant outdoor terraces overlooking the sea. In the evenings, many families stroll along the waterfront promenade after dinner.

Malta does not have any permanent natural lakes or rivers, though during periods of intense rainfall small rivers are known to form. Designed in Romanesque style, the basilica has a stark exterior and a surprisingly inspiring interior that features exceptional Maltese craftsmanship. The sanctuary is plain but has a moving and reverential ambience. Part of the original 16th-century church, with its shrine to the Blessed Virgin Mary, was incorporated into the basilica. Built in 1658, the White Tower (Maltese: Torri l-Abjad) is a small watchtower overlooking Armier Bay. It is one of 13 watchtowers, built under the rule of Grand Master Martin de Redin to defend the Maltese coast. In 2009, it was passed on to the local council as part of the area’s cultural heritage. Along the nearby coastline are three tranquil bays with excellent beaches. Gozo's popular wide sandy beach at Ramla Bay is a little more than three kilometers away. Rebekah’s Restaurant This fine restaurant (Michelin recommended) serves Mediterranean specialities with a French touch. Malta’s history is rich with maps that portray the development of the island but also an in depth understanding of how things were, the way of life so different than we live today. It is a fact that today it is considered as for granted fact. Books have been published on this subject. The pioneer for such research is Dr. Albert Ganado who started collecting old maps. Today his son has transformed his father’s collection into an incredible study in collaboration with Emeritus Chief Conservator Joseph Schirò. Maps reveal details that enlighten historians understand the way things developed.
