About this deal

The HS70 Pro Wireless also has 7.1 surround sound that I can rely on. It’s clear where footsteps, shots, and general sounds are coming from. The HS70 Pro Wireless has equally revealing 7.1 surround sound on PC.

While playing Eve online, the audio reproduced was excellent. As I warped from system to system fighting would-be thieves, the audio of my thrusters rumbled perfectly, and the explosions of enemy ships were absolute perfection going from hard lows to expanding highs without any distortion. The HS70 Pro Wireless uses the iCUE software to customize the sound. It has presets and even lets you create your own. It’s not nearly advanced as the Logitech G Hub, but it has a much more friendly interface for new users. Comparing sound quality on Console Logitech G Pro X

What’s it like to use the Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless?

I realized I was using the microphone without the foam windscreen. While I hoped applying the windscreen would fix the issue, it didn’t. The humming still occurs with the windscreen in place, however, my voice is a lot clearer. The battery life is listed as up to 16 hours, which is more than enough to cover a few gaming sessions, unless you’re livestreaming a marathon on Twitch. While running a constant stream of music to test the battery life, they lasted just over 14.5 hours from full charge to empty. The ear cups are properly cushioned with plush memory foam. They fit the entirety of my ear within the ear cups, and there is even some wiggle room. It would be nice to see the same cushion on the headband, as I feel they were close to nailing comfort. Build Quality The HS70 Pro Wireless have great build quality. The HS70 Pro Wireless are equipped with 50mm neodymium dynamic drivers and 7.1 surround sound. The sound can be adjusted with the iCUE software on PC, but I was content with the volume levels of the lows, mids, and highs and didn’t feel the need to adjust them. In game screenshot of CS:GO taken while using the HS70 Pro Wireless. PC I’ve never awarded two headphones a tie for sound before, but both the G Pro X and the HS70 Pro Wireless provide an equal level of quality.

The build quality on the G Pro X is among the best I’ve seen. Nothing about their construction gives me the impression the headset is cheaply made. Very durable aluminum yolk connects the ear cups to the headband. The Logitech G Hub software can really personalize my audio for the game and makes for a much more immersive experience. Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless I like the wireless capabilities of the HS70 headset, and they work well when seated and gaming. However, they consistently drop when I move away from the transmitter. Furthermore, the HS170 are only compatible with PC, PS4, and PS5, which is ideal for my setup but may not be for yours. Sound Quality Comparing sound quality on PC Logitech G Pro X The G Pro X does not have 7.1 surround sound for console gaming. This makes my experience playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare less immersive. However, the headset still does a good job of separating the lows, mids, and highs. The G Pro X lose immersion and sound direction on console.Using Bluetooth, I connected the HS70 Bluetooth to my cell phone, and the experience was equally as fantastic in terms of the quality of the sound. If you detached the mic and used these as daily, over-ear headphones, you’d be highly satisfied as it sounds the same wired as it does with a Bluetooth connection.

It’s not often that I come across headphones with comparable – and impressive – build quality. Every G Pro X and HS70 Pro Wireless component is made of high-quality materials. No part feels flimsy or like it will break, and I’m sure you can put both of these headphones through the wringer before they will fail. Mic Quality Logitech G Pro X Both headphones perform similarly on console. In fact, they’re nearly identical, resulting in a tie. Overall Winner The most important factor is sound quality, and the HS70 Pro Wireless are the superior choice. I was surprised because both headsets offer very similar audio technical specifications with 50mm neodymium drivers and 7.1 surround sound. At the end of the day, the HS70 Pro Wireless were much more clear in sound direction, audio cues, and overall immersive experience. The design for the HS70 Pro Wireless are a clear-cut winner. They come across as more professional and sleek than the Void RGB Elite Wireless, which have a much more exotic design. The 7.1 surround sound was distinct and useful in telling where footsteps, reload sounds, or shots in the distance were coming from. Explosions didn’t drown out the mids and the highs, and even when situations got chaotic, I was aware of my surroundings. Whether you’re a professional or casual gamer, the sound quality will meet your needs. The audio cues are direct and crisp and the 7.1 surround sound gives a clear direction of where sounds are coming from. The exception is on PS4 where the 7.1 surround sound isn’t supported and this slightly takes away from directional cues.

The HS70 can only be used in stereo mode with the PS4 (7.1 Surround can only be enabled with the CUE software, which is PC-only). The stereo sound is pretty leftright direct, but still allows for some directionality to sounds. In Horizon Zero Dawn I was still able to get a good sense of where two scrappers where as I spun and dodged to get the perfect shot to take them down. Both ear cups are made of hard plastic and feature a metal ring with the Logitech and League of Legends logos on each side. The aluminum joints that connect the ear cups and the headband appear extremely strong. The headband is flexible but still provides solid resistance. Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless I have to award a tie because both headphones are nearly identical in design and functionality. Everything from their ear cups and connective yolk to the stitching on their headbands is comparable. Functionality wise, they both offer the same features. The Logitech G Hub is only compatible with PC, making the mics effectively the same quality on console Connectivity Logitech G Pro X

What should you get instead of the Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless?

Although the G Pro X have a much more advanced interface with the Logitech G Hub, it can be overwhelming at times. The HS70 Pro Wireless have the iCUE software, which isn’t as advanced but still allows you to adjust the lows, mids, and highs. I find the HS70 Pro Wireless have an even keel of sound all around. When testing the headphones in CS:GO and PUBG on PC, I was really impressed. The bass was definitely present and didn’t drown out the rest of the frequency range. The HS70 Pro Wireless are advertised to support a 40ft connection range, but I found lots of latency issues. Even when walking to another room, not even 10ft from my computer, the audio would cut in and out. This wasn’t a battery issue as the headphones were fully charged and I can attribute it to walls or distance breaking up the connection. The headphones are supported by a plastic mold with a safety belt that prevents the headphones from shuffling around. The headphones come out of the mold with ease and aren’t squished in. They are also covered with a plastic film to prevent scratching which is a must if plastic is used rather than foam for protection.
