About this deal

Multifunctional Magnetic Tail: Fully charged in only 4 hours by using the MCC3 USB magnetic charging cable, easy and convenient to attach the flashlight to the metal L-shape stand after use.

The Olight Baton 3 Pro rechargeable flashlight has an e-switch on the head end of the side of the body. The switch cover has a bit of texture and is proud enough that it’s easy to find. It’s also not so proud or soft that it will easily activate accidentally. In addition to the differences listed in the table above, the Baton 3 Pro has also upgraded a lot of design features on the S2R Baton II, now let's take a look at what other upgrade points are: Olight Seeker 4 Pro: UK https://www.olightstore.uk/s/EE2B36 US: https://www.olightstore.com/s/Q69GO5 Since the .5 lumen Moonbeam mode is so dim, here it is viewing directly into the lens. This amount of light on a dark wall does not photograph easily. It’s usefully dim.

Testing and observations

Just like the Seeker 3 Pro it comes with a proprietary 21700 5000mAh battery installed. It would have been nice to see an upgraded version of this battery with extra capacity. The torch is pretty much exactly the same size as the Seeker 3 Pro – 133mm (5.24”) long with a 35mm (1.38in) diameter bezel. The body is a little narrower but this is quite a chunky 21700 torch. Brighter & More Powerful: Powered by a 5000mAh battery, it delivers a max. output of 2,500 lumens and a max. runtime of 60 days, providing you with enough light for any activity. For reference, here’s a baseline shot, with all the room lights off and almost nothing hitting the sensor. Also, here’s the light with the worst PWM I could find. I’m adding multiple timescales, so it’ll be easier to compare to the test light. Unfortunately, the PWM on this light is so bad that it doesn’t even work with my normal scale, which is 50 microseconds (50us). 10ms. 5ms. 2ms. 1ms. 0.5ms. 0.2ms.In a display faster than 0.2ms or so, the on/off cycle is more than one screen, so it’d just (very incorrectly) look like a flat line. I wrote more about this Ultrafire WF-602C flashlight and explained a little about PWM too. User Interface and OperationThe indicator light on the magnet will go red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 3 hours, 30 minutes when charging the included battery if the power supply is sufficient enough to support the 2 A output, otherwise the cable will output at a lower rate or 1 A or 1.5 A depending on the power supply. If it’s red, it means the charge is less than 10%. Orange if it’s between 10% and 60% and green if the charge is above 60%. Impressive Battery Life You can see how its beam compares to the Olight Baton 3 Pro Max, the Thrunite T2 and the Seeker 3 Pro below. All these torches run off a 21700 battery. In use I really couldn’t see any difference between the Seeker 3 Pro and this new model. Conclusions As far as I can tell, this user interface is the same as previous Batons – the S2R Baton II, for example.

In this version of the Olight Baton 3 Pro flashlight is probably a Luminus SST-40-W emitter, just like we saw on the S2R Baton II. But Olight doesn’t say. Either way, that emitter is coupled with a TIR and provides a very pleasantbeam profile. It’s an indicating switch, as I said above, too. It can indicate in green (seen below) and red. (And maybe orange, sometimes it’s faint enough to be hard to say for certain.) Predecessors of the Baton 3 Pro have had different side switches. But compared to the Olight S2R Baton II, the side switch of Baton 3 Pro is 56% times larger.

What is it

Of course, the base of the Olight Baton 3 Pro flashlight is magnetic because of the way this light charges. But that magnetic base also serves as a great connection point for the Baton 3 Pro, too.
