About this deal

With a 60-year-long tradition, Ajmal presents a very special and luxurious Signature collection which includes three extraordinary fragrances based on wood: Amber Wood, Hatkora Wood and Santal Wood. The name of the collection is W Series and it provides three niche compositions as additions to the current rich offer of the house of Ajmal, which will provide top quality raw ingredients to customers in the Middle East. Amber, Hatkora lemon and sandalwood can be found in the ingredients of the three new perfumes and they originate from the countries best for their origin, ensuring additional value for fragrance connoisseurs. But for the new guy who wants a different take on the blue fragrances this is good solid for that. I'm smelling the coffee and it's sweet and pleasant. It has a wonderful, wonderful opening that lasts for around 10-15 minutes on my skin. The fruity, orange, bergamot thing is not only refreshing, it has a richness to it and that Angel DNA shows up almost immediately. As it dries down, the notes in the middle appear. They are in there but they are subtle. But my main point is that this smells very pleasant. Ultimate starts off very fresh, with a shortlived citrus note. Then develops into a sweet, almost sugary scent (which makes sense as they've listed a sweet cappuccino note rather than a rounded coffee note). And on my skin, it stays that way for the remaining life of the scent. I don't get much woody or green notes.

Overall, I’m happy with it and will use it frequently in my rotation. I’m actually eager to try it in warm weather based on some experiences I’ve read on here. The sweetness doesn't pose a problem for me, because it's far from the bubblegum sweetness you're used to from the mainstream. It is loud, but not too intrusive (you don't have to spray a thousand times). The durability is very good, on the clothes it is still omnipresent and on the skin I was able to perceive it yesterday easily 5 hours without further ado. Even though this has better balance than original A*Men, everyday use would definitely induce scent fatigue in me. It needed to lose the sweet finalé: a singular flaw that compromises its versatility. Not then an automatic choice for interviews, weddings or formal occasions generally; but good for the office and the pub. It has decent sillage and projection. You are sitting at a well worn wooden table enjoying a lemon cream pastry, sipping a cappuccino, and someone nearby has a sweet perfume on.. Close your eyes, imagine this scene, this is exactly what Ultimate smells like to me.

It's not enough really for me to warrant any change from my position on the original A*Men, it's a wonderful complex, oriental, spicy fragrance. It's insanely fruity. Not in a Skittles way, but the combination of patchouli, fruity notes, and whatever "whiskey" accord is here, lend themself to a really unique take on "fruity". The heart of the fragrance features notes of tonka bean and vanilla, which add sweetness and depth to the scent. This fragrance is well-suited for men of all ages and styles. It is not too overpowering, but it is still noticeable enough to make a statement. A*Men Ultimate is a great choice for men who are looking for a signature scent that is both stylish and sophisticated. As the scent wears on, I feel that it becomes even better than the opening act. The berry-like fruits begin to fully emerge and give the cologne a distinctive feel. Nonetheless, they are only playing a supporting role at this stage. However, Pure Malt never relinquishes its very masculine energy or fall into a trap of being too ambiguous. I found myself constantly trying to get a whiff of this lovely gourmand scent throughout the night that I was wearing it. It was just enjoyable and pleasant to wear.

Recommendation: Pure Malt is a great, bold, boozy, and casual fragrance, that makes it a great buy. So, there's no lingering smell of whiskey. Applying this won't have the lady of your dreams wondering if you are a dipsomaniac, nor the police reaching for their breathalyser should you find yourself pulled-over. Maybe it was because I'm fairly new to fragrance collecting and my nose had never smelled anything so bold as a Pure Malt before and didn't know what to think, but it clearly didn't need more than a 2nd chance to appreciate it. To the person that said this is a youthful scent. LOL No effing way! This is 30+, whiskey neat, cigar in the other hand all day.Mugler originally trained as a dancer and worked professionally starting at age 14. After studying interior design, he moved to Paris at age 24 and began working as a window dresser and freelance designer. His first personal collection for women was produced in 1973. Mugler opened his first Paris boutique and also launched a menswear collection in 1978. His style is distinguished by its futuristic shapes and fantasy elements. A fantastic concept. Scotch has always had a historical reputation for class, quality, and style, and it's golden-ambery appeal is legendary. Today’s installment of my ever-running series of cologne comparisons will be between two scents from the Angel Men line by Thierry Mugler, Pure Havane and Pure Malt. These are two popular and well respected fragrances, as A*Men flankers. In This post, I want to explore the openings of both, how each smells, how it performs, and which of these two colognes is a better buy overall?

As a massive fan of the A*Men flanker line, I have A*Men, Pure Tonka, Pure Shot(Energy), Pure Havane, Pure Malt, B*Men and Pure Leather, so I decided to add the most recent flanker A*Men Ultimate to my collection. Since this was released in 2019, I decided I better grab it before it was discontinued and shot up into the hundreds like all the other flankers. I am still hoping to get a bottle of Pure Coffee and Pure Wood. I can live without the others.Pure Malt by Thierry Mugler seems to be a quite polarizing fragrance on Parfumo. According to all definitions, which I might read here so far a correct Mainstreamduft. Or maybe not? About the fragrance: Pure Malt has a very sweet start! Musk and patchouli immediately give it an earthy touch. Together with the peat and whisky, you actually have the feeling of being sprayed with a long aged alcoholic drink. This "flag" surrounds one the first few hours and is also clearly noticeable for the wearer. In the further course of time, the woody notes are added. The whole remains as a sweet-woody film on the skin. The opening of A*Men Ultimate is very fresh, aquatic-like. I don't get much bergamot. The fresh fades after about ten seconds into a candy sweetness that reminds me of walking into an old five and dime store full of every candy you can imagine, and I like this but hate it at the same time. I do not detect balsam fir, and there is only a very small hint of cocoa in the dry-down. Vanilla dominates the fragrance, but it is a synthetic vanilla, not natural vanilla. I feel like they were aiming for a similar vibe to Le Male or Eros; even the bottle is blue-green like both those. Projection is minimal, sillage (scent trail) seems almost zero, odor life short, but some of the base notes hang on for a whole day but with no projection. After tonight's dinner has begun preparations, a rug and tea are brought out and served. You smell some burning wood and spiced fruits. An amber tray is brought and lit as incense. You can smell its freshness, its sweetness, accompanied by subtle notes of stones, flowers, and fragrant woods.
