The popularity of this famous Danziger Liqueur – featuring suspended genuine 22 – carat gold flakes – soon spread internationally and quickly became a favourite liqueur of high society. In 1971 Der Lachs was taken over by the Hardenberg-Wilthen distillery and production was moved to the town of Nörten-Hardenberg in West Germany.

His distillery on ulica Szeroka featured a salmon ('lachs' in German) on its facade and his brand thus took on the name 'Der Lachs zu Danzig.The famous Original Danziger Goldwasser is a strong root and herbal liqueur which has been produced since at least 1598 in Danzig (Gdańsk).

Does anyone know roughly the date of it's production and also whether it has any additional value over what is now available?
